Homage to Van Gogh
I have always been drawn to Vincent Van Gogh. Both his personal story as well as his artistic style and ability. Studying the progression of his artwork through his life, it is inspiring to see how his style developed overtime. He was an expert at harnessing color and movement on a canvas to draw the viewer in. I was so drawn to Van Gogh's style that I recreated a few of his works to immerse myself in his art.
Original Work: Self-Portrait Created in 1889
Inspiration: I love the style of this self-portrait. The movement reminded me of the style he used on A Starry Night. He had an uncanny ability to balance realism and impressionism.
